As last week, I cannot make the clubrun on Sunday Nov 8th. I shall be going Youth Hostelling with the Coalville Whlrs to Ironbridge, near Telford.

Is there anyone willing to nominally "lead" the clubrun?

I can suggest a destination cafe and a route from the clubroom and return if you wish.

You do NOT have to ride at the front all day, just be the nominal "boss".

Do we have anyone willing to step up to the mark? It's not difficult....

I'm around on Sunday and would be willing to lead. All I would ask is that people give a good shout if anyone is being dropped - I'm not as comfortable cycling looking behind me as Binky, plus I'm an accountant so can't count.

Wind is NE, so the Reliability Trial route might be a good option?

John,

I'll send you the Reliability Trial Route via email just for you to be certain.

Be aware that the windmill tea room is changing hands, so may not be open. Either ring them first, or possibly stop in the small garden centre on the right as you go through Greetham on the LONGER route. I believe they have a little cafe, but have never been in.

You could stop at Gates garden Centre, Cold Overton, but it's expensive.

You won't pass the lakes cafe as it's not on or even very near, the route.

Greetham is ok unless there is 20 of you in the group. The main road through Greetham is closed but it is due to reopen on saturday.

Stormin Norman tells me that the sale of the Windmill has fallen through and the MOCC christmas dinner is back on, so it looks like business as usual there but probably best to check.

Thanks for the update Ian

Looks like the clubrun will be on as usual.
New member Jaspar Topham is intending to join you, so make him welcome. He's 16, so watch out for him.
Will we also see Jonnie and Ross?

Meet at 9.15, depart at 9.20.

Weather forecast is not bad, so you should have a good ride. Wink

I should be OK to take the run again next week, but watch the forum for the latest news.

Hello I'd like to come tomorrow. The problem is that I don't have pedals yet,I am using the delta model of look, and nobody sell them anymore,so if someone has soom delta look pedals to sell(and if they are still working) I'll buy them.
Otherwise I can make the ride with normal pedals.
I know that on Monday someone can sell me some look delta pedals, but since the weather should be sunny tomorrow it would be great to come.

I am sorry I am French and I have a bike since thursday thanks to Graeme McLay,so I have some little problems to solve, for example could someone bring something like an adjustable spanner,so than I can adjust the height of my saddle.

Thank you,I hope I'll be able to join the ride tomorrow.

Well, nobody is perfect Julien. Laughing Laughing

I have a pair of Delta pedals with a set of red and black cleats if you want them. The reds have been used but are only slightly worn.

I will be at the club room on Monday, I will bring them in case you are there. I don't live in Leicester so I can't get them to you for tomorrow unless you can get to Melton Mowbray today.

Ian

Hello,

Thank you very much for the pedals, but that's ok I have found someone who can also sell me some on Monday and we have yet found an "agreement".But that's really nice from you.If in the end there is a problem with this other person I know that you might help me.

By the way I'll come on monday evening,so maybe I'll see you there.

Thanks,have a nice Sunday.
